Oleg Melnyk
Mes activités de recherche se situent à l’interface de la chimie et de la biologie, où je développe de nouvelles approches pour la synthèse totale et la modification de protéines. Les stratégies que nous avons mises au point au cours de la dernière décennie s’inspirent de processus chimiques opérant dans les systèmes vivants et les milieux naturels. Ces méthodologies offrent des outils puissants pour l’étude du vivant et la conception de nouvelles approches thérapeutiques, axes que nous développons au sein de l’écosystème lillois. La valorisation de ces travaux m’a conduit à co-fonder deux sociétés, Innobiochips et XProChem.
Claire Moulis
Claire Moulis is professor in biochemistry and enzymology at INSA Toulouse, an engineering school, and is co-leader of the axis “Enzymes and Molecular Assemblies for One Health” within the Biocatalysis department of the Toulouse Biotechnology Institute. Her research activities are focused on enzyme engineering for white biotechnology and green chemistry. They cover enzyme structure/activity relationship studies, kinetic resolution, evolution combining both rational and combinatorial approaches, and applications to the synthesis of new polysaccharides, oligosaccharides and glyco-conjugates. Her work is currently focused on the search and generation of enzymes displaying new specificities and improved properties towards unnatural substrates. She specifically targets the integration of tailored enzymes in chemo-enzymatic cascades or enzymatic processes for biopolymer production.
